1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Big Quams Media® (the "Platform"), including our website, tools, and any related mobile-friendly web app, operated by Big Quams Media.
By creating an account, subscribing to updates, or simply using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2Who Can Use Big Quams Media®
Big Quams Media® is built for Nigerian students — prospective undergraduates, current undergraduates, and anyone preparing for JAMB, Post-UTME, or related academic milestones.
- If you are under the age of 13, please do not create an account without the involvement of a parent or guardian.
- If you are between 13 and 18, we recommend you use the Platform with the awareness of a parent or guardian, particularly for any account registration.
- You are responsible for providing accurate information when creating an account.
3Your Account
Some features (CBT tracking, coins and streaks, scholarship alerts, community participation) require a free account, created via email/password or Google Sign-In.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
- Notify us immediately at bigquamsmedia@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
- One account per person. Referral rewards and coin balances tied to your account are not transferable and have no cash value.
4Our Services
Big Quams Media® provides, among other things: JAMB/CBT practice, Post-UTME preparation guides, admission chance estimation, GPA and aggregate calculators, a scholarship and student loan (NELFUND) information hub, an eLibrary of study materials, campus news, and CampusConnect community features.
All core tools are currently free to use. If this ever changes for specific premium features in the future, we will update these Terms and clearly communicate any pricing before you are charged anything.
Because our content (admission cut-off marks, scholarship deadlines, NELFUND steps, results-checking processes) often depends on external bodies such as JAMB, WAEC, NECO, universities, and government agencies, we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee it is error-free or reflects the very latest changes made by those bodies.
5Acceptable Use
When using Big Quams Media®, you agree not to:
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any school, institution, or organisation.
- Post or share content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful, including within CampusConnect communities.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or to our systems.
- Use referral, coin, or streak features through automated means, fake accounts, or fraudulent referrals.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content or question banks for commercial purposes without written permission.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6Content & Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Big Quams Media® name, logo, design, original articles, and question banks are the property of Big Quams Media and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Some study materials, past questions, or reference content may be sourced from or attributed to third parties (e.g. WAEC/JAMB syllabi, publicly available resources). We make reasonable efforts to use such material appropriately and will act promptly on any legitimate rights concerns raised to us.
7Community & User-Generated Content
Features like CampusConnect, community discussions, and student spotlights allow you to submit content (posts, comments, profile information, stories). By submitting content, you confirm it is yours to share and grant Big Quams Media® a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform.
We are not responsible for content posted by other users, but we do moderate reported content that violates these Terms.
8Institutional & Partner Programs (Coming Soon)
Not yet live. Big Quams Media® plans to introduce structured programs for Institutional Partnerships (schools, tutorial centres, and universities), Campus Publishers (student journalists/content contributors), and Campus Ambassadors (student representatives on their campuses).
These programs are in planning and are not currently operational. When launched, each will have its own specific terms covering matters such as content responsibilities, compensation (if any), verification requirements, and data access, and this section will be updated accordingly before any such program goes live. No institution, publisher, or ambassador role currently carries any special access or obligations under these Terms.
9Disclaimers
Big Quams Media® is an independent student information and technology platform. We are not JAMB, WAEC, NECO, NELFUND, or any university, and we do not process official applications, payments, or results on their behalf.
Admission-chance estimates, GPA/aggregate calculations, and similar tools are provided for guidance only and do not guarantee any admission outcome, score, or result.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
10Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Big Quams Media shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including reliance on any information, tool, or estimate provided.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot be excluded under applicable Nigerian law.
11Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent referral/coin activity, or misuse the Platform in a way that harms other users or the service.
You may stop using the Platform and request account deletion at any time by contacting us — see our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data after deletion.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Platform grows (for example, when new features such as institutional partnerships are launched). We will update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify registered users.
13Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
